Win the local Facebook groups and Nextdoor

'Can anyone recommend a good [trade] in [town]?' gets posted in your local Facebook group and on Nextdoor every week, and answered by real neighbours. That's a recommendation engine running around the clock, the AIs are starting to read it, and most of your competitors aren't even in the group.

Be in the room where they ask

Join the local groups your customers actually use and be a helpful regular. When someone asks, your name comes up. You can't buy your way in and you can't fake it, which is exactly why it's worth so much.

Let your customers do the shouting

The strongest mention isn't you, it's a happy customer tagging you in the thread. Do great work, make it easy for them to name you, and the group sells for you.

Play by the rules or get booted

These groups hate spam. No cold plugs, no fake accounts. Be useful, be human, and let the recommendations be earned. One pushy pitch and you're out.

Your town's Facebook group is a recommendation machine you don't control but can earn into. That's where half your neighbours decide who to call.
